# **Privacy Policy**

*Effective: 28.10.2026*
*Last Updated: 28.10.2026*

## 1. Introduction

Recodive oHG ("we," "our," or "us") makes Stoodle, an app for iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac that keeps a sit-stand rhythm at your standing desk. This Privacy Policy explains what Stoodle does with your information.

In short: Stoodle has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don't run servers for it, and we don't receive or store any of your data. Everything Stoodle knows stays on your devices and, if you choose, in your own iCloud account. Stoodle runs on iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch (with widgets); everything here applies to all of them.

**Data Controller:**
Recodive oHG
Möllendorffstraße 108

## 2. What Stays on Your Devices

- **Your settings and your day:** rhythm, workdays and each day's hours, breaks, days off and holidays, goal, your sitting and standing times, when you switched today, and a short summary of each day (how many switches were on time, early or late, and your longest sit). These are stored on your iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch.
- **Motion and air pressure (iPhone, if you turn on hands-free detection):** Stoodle reads the phone's motion sensors and barometer to notice when your desk moves. These readings are processed on the phone and never sent anywhere. To help with troubleshooting, the phone keeps the last 10 minutes of them, which you can view under Settings › Advanced and share yourself if you choose; nothing leaves the phone unless you share it.
- **Bluetooth (Stoodle Pro):** Stoodle connects to the desk you pair to read its height and, when you ask, move it: while you hold a button, with one tap, or (only if you turn on "Move when it's time") by itself when it's time to switch and you're at the desk. To tell that you're there, Stoodle uses whether you recently touched the iPhone or typed beside it, or are using the Mac; this is worked out on the device and never sent anywhere. The desk's name, identifier and your sitting and standing heights are kept on your device.
- **Calendar (only if you allow it):** Stoodle never asks for calendar access on its own at launch. It asks only for a feature that needs it: when you choose to skip public holidays, or for "Quiet in meetings" (Stoodle Pro), right after you buy Pro, when you tap "Allow calendar access" on its tip, or when you turn it on. With Stoodle Pro, Stoodle checks whether you're in a meeting so reminders can wait until it ends. If you skip public holidays, Stoodle reads the holiday calendar you pick to know which days are off; their dates and names are kept with your settings. Other event details never leave your device.
- **Microphone and camera (Mac, if you turn on holding reminders during calls):** Stoodle checks only whether some app is using the microphone or a camera, so reminders can wait until the call ends. It never listens, records or sees anything. If you pick call apps, the Mac also checks, on the Mac itself, which app that is playing or capturing sound is active (its bundle identifier, compared with the apps you chose) so reminders wait during those calls. That check is never sent anywhere or kept, apart from your list of chosen apps.
- **Focus (if you add Stoodle's Focus filter):** your device tells Stoodle when that Focus turns on or off, so reminders can wait or your day can start. Stoodle doesn't see which Focus it is.
- **Apple Intelligence (optional, on supported devices):** if you turn on Stoodle's Apple Intelligence features, such as sorting meetings by kind from their titles, setting your schedule from a sentence you type, or Stoo's notes, they use Apple's on-device model. Meeting titles and what you type are read on your device and never sent to us or to any server.
- **Notifications:** reminders are scheduled locally by your device.

Each of these permissions is optional and can be withdrawn at any time in your device's settings.

## 3. iCloud

If iCloud sync is on, Stoodle keeps your settings, today's progress and switches (including whether reminders are on hold), and your daily summaries in your own iCloud account (iCloud key-value storage), so your iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch stay in step. Apple stores this data under your Apple Account; we can't see it. You can turn sync off, or delete the iCloud copy, in Stoodle's Settings > Sync and data. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in [Apple's Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).

**Sharing a link with another Apple Account (optional).** You can make a link to your day for a device on a different Apple Account, such as a work Mac. The link is a CloudKit share in your own iCloud account. Stoodle shares your settings, the running day and your daily summaries with whoever opens the link. Anyone who has the link can open it and, if you allow it, make changes, so share it only with yourself or people you trust. You can see who has joined and end the link, or delete Stoodle's iCloud data, at any time in Settings > Sync and data; ending the link deletes the shared copy. It is stored by Apple in iCloud; we can't see it.

**Export.** Settings > Sync and data can export your daily sitting and standing minutes as a CSV file. The file is created on your device and goes only where you send it; nothing is sent unless you choose where it goes.

## 4. Purchases

Stoodle Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment and never shares your payment details with us. Stoodle only asks the App Store whether Pro is unlocked on your Apple Account. We don't receive your purchase details.

## 5. Information We Receive

None. Stoodle sends nothing to us. If you write to us for support, we receive what you choose to send (such as your email address and message) and use it only to answer you. We delete support emails once the matter is resolved, unless the law requires us to keep them.

## 6. Your Rights Under GDPR

Because we don't hold any data from the app, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or erase: you control the data on your devices and in your iCloud account, and you can delete it by deleting the app or using "Erase" in Stoodle's Settings. For anything you have sent us directly, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Write to [privacy@recodive.com](mailto:privacy@recodive.com).

## 7. Children's Privacy

Stoodle doesn't collect personal data from anyone, children included.

## 8. Updates to This Policy
